Cyber Bullying Workshop at Blue Bird School, Satdobato, Lalitpur
As a part of the Safer Internet Day 2019 celebration, ChildSafeNet, conducted a half-day workshop on cyber bullying with 26 grade 7 and 8 students of Blue Bird Secondary School, Satdobato, Lalitpur on 13 February 2019.
At the end of the workshop, students shared their views on protecting children from cyber bullying with specific roles of children, parents, teachers and other duty-bearers (government, police, NGOs, etc). Inputs from children will be used to develop an anti-cyber bullying policy of Blue Bird Secondary School.
Students discussed about differences between offline and cyber bullying. Some students shared about their experience of being bullied. Besides, some students shared their experiences as bullies.
ChildSafeNet conducted the workshop using participatory method and facilitated girls and boys to express their views on the matters affecting their lives. Students shared their experiences and participated in a role play and group discussions.
